Sassy Go Go continues to be a bundle of fun. I love how the drama manages to balance the different tones. It’s not too much cute and it’s also not overly heavy on the emotion side.
Anyway, the characters have started cheerleading! YES! Of course it would take some time I guess before we actually see them doing stunts and all that – but the whole process to actually get them to know each other was funny. I love the cheerleading teacher! She’s so awesome.
There was also a Ha Joon moment which I appreciated very much. I’m really curious why he wants to kill himself so badly, or why is he so afraid of his dad. I guess one of the most obvious reasons is pressure from parents – but the fact that his dad wanted to put him in a mental hospital if he hurt himself again means that he has been doing it more than once. But how could the dad still pressure him, if his son already tried to commit suicide on multiple occasions?
I love Ji Soo! He has such a strong presence and it is really not easy for rookie actors – sometimes even veteran actors do not have such strong screen presence. He manages to shine again in this role and I’m really looking forward to see him in more dramas after this.
I love Chae Soo Bin too! I watched her in Spy & House of Bluebird and I liked her then. Her character right now might be ‘evil’, but I can’t wait till she changes. When she sat in the car with her mom, and she saw the rest having fun – it feels like deep inside she is probably envious of it though she always puts on a front and say mean things.
As for romantic developments, I’m not sure how far story would focus on it – but if it does, I would personally prefer Ji Soo with her. Dong Hae is okay too – but is it wrong for me to just want Ji Soo to get a girl???? AHAHAHAHA.
I’m really confused with Byung Jae’s character. It seems that he is Kim Yeol’s father and I guess he is since they share the same name. But when I watched the first episode, I actually thought he was Yeon Doo’s father. Of course, I guess he isn’t since they don’t have the same surname and it’s totally weird if he was Yeon Doo’s father.
But I only assumed because in the first episode when her mother tried calling her, she asked him if “he/she pick up his calls” and also when conversing, she said “our daughter has to meet a man like you.”
Maybe I heard wrongly – or maybe it could just a language thing and I don’t really understand.
